A Toast to Harry

AMOS, Harry Passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital, Freeport Site, on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at age 92. Born August 25, 1921, Harry was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Ed Amos; his sister, Marjorie Kavelman and his brothers Carl and Bill. Harry leaves behind his brother Don Amos and nieces and nephews; Bill, Larry and Bob Kavelman and their sisters Mary Lou Gutscher, Barb Carey and Nancy Laycock; Bill Amos Jr. and his sisters Donna Farrow and JoAnn Baker; David Amos and his sisters Diane Amos and Judy Archambault; John Amos and his sister Carolyn Waind. He will be sadly missed by Andy, too. We will miss his determination, feisty nature and unique way of showing affection for his family and friends. To quote Robbie Burns -- "A Man's A Man For A' That". A Celebration of Harry's life will be held at MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME AND CEMETERY (519-904-0400) 2723 Victoria St. N., Breslau, on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with reception following. Interment will take place at Elmira Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
